  • The amount of the sum assured provided on an annual basis to each family floater plan is Rs. thirty thousand.
  • All the ailments that are covered in this plan have the provision of cashless treatment.
  • This scheme also covers the expenses incurred due to hospitalization. It takes care of all of the common illnesses and has a few exclusions.
  • Unlike many other individual health insurance plans, even the pre-existing diseases are covered in this particular scheme.
  • The plan also provides coverage of transportations costs (Up to 1000 with Rs. 100 maximum per visit).

What is the Procedure for Enrollment Process for RSBY?

When it comes to enrolling in RSBY, the insurer is handed over a list (administered electronically) which consists of all the BPL families which are eligible for this scheme. This data collection is as per the pre-specified format. After which, there is a schedule set for each village and the dates are given by the insurance company. These dates are set after consulting the district level officials.

Based on this schedule, the list is then put up in the enrollment stations in the village. The location along with the date is displayed in the main spots of the city. In some villages, even mobile stations are set up for better enrollment.
